Small Groups

Sunday Morning Small Groups

Three Adult Bible Study groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.

The Salt & Light Class welcomes adults of all ages. Using Lifeway Bible study materials, we hold weekly group discussions on scripture passages. We study the meaning of these passages and how we can apply those truths to our daily lives and be the salt and light of the earth. Each study is roughly six weeks, and eight aspects of discipleship are covered in a year.

As the name implies, the Young at Heart class is primarily a group with lots of life experience, but all are welcome and encouraged to join us. This discussion-type class uses a published lesson book, like the Lifeway – Explore the Bible series, as a guide. Active participation, personal application, and challenge are encouraged, always looking to the Bible for inspiration and as the final authority.
A smaller group allows each member to be known and receive support and encouragement through sharing and prayer. Our goal is to know and love our God and each other better. Please join us and become Young at Heart.

The Upper Room Sunday School class began in 2018 to fortify Christians’ intellectual and spiritual foundations. Our mission is to empower individuals to navigate, articulate, and defend their faith confidently. Over the years, we have delved into a rich tapestry of topics, ranging from insightful explorations of C.S. Lewis’s works to in-depth studies of various books of the Bible and discussions that contrast world religions with Christianity. Additionally, we have undertaken comprehensive studies on pivotal aspects of Christian theology, including salvation, baptism, and the presence of Christ in the Old Testament.

Bible Study

HALFTIME Adult Study

Each Wednesday Night at 7 p.m., the adults study God’s word together in the sanctuary.

Pastor Chris leads this small group. We have a time of prayer for those on our prayer list. We usually either study a book of the Bible or a book study on theological or cultural topics. These studies are intended to facilitate discussion.

Missions

Missions Ministry

We have a mission team that supports local missions as well as missionaries around the world. 10% of all tithes and offerings given to Plymouth Church go to missions.
